CNBC and Microsoft have broken their online bonds with each other as CNBC parts ways today. Since 2001, because of a licensing agreement between CNBC’s parent company General Electric and Microsoft, CNBC has worked as a content partner on MSN and MSN Money.
The new CNBC website is expected to offer Web-specific video clips, news, and market-updates. 55 additional employees have been hired in order to run the website. Although plans have been laid out, the website is still in “transition.”
