In an effort to further expand their online services, Google has begun to sell domain names for $10. Currently, Google is selling web addresses that end in .com, .org, .net, .biz, and .info. The domain names are for use with Google Apps for Your Domain which is a free hosting service targeted at small businesses. The service offers websites, email, instant messaging and shared calendars - all of which can be personalized with the business' name and logo.

Google has also allowed users to have full control over their domain and allows them to use the domain with non-Google services. Although Google has partnered with GoDaddy.com and eNom for domain registration services, domain name registration is integrated in Google Apps for the Your Domain set up process. The process also includes private registration.

You can reach the Google Apps for Your Domain page by clicking here.
