As a result of the numerous reports of flying Wii Remotes and broken TVs, Nintendo today announced that they will be replacing 3.2 million Wii Remote wrist straps. The new wrist straps will be stronger and less prone to breaking when pressure is placed on them.

In order to allow consumers to replace their wrist straps, Nintendo has created an online replacement form which can be reached by clicking here. The new wrist straps will begin to ship on December 21. It is expected that consumers will have to wait 5 to 9 days in order to receive the replacements.
