Apple today has admitted to their black and white MacBooks having a certain problem of randomly turning off. The company stated on their website that anyone who is experiencing this problem should call Apple Care immediately. Although no official cause for the random shutdowns have been stated, it is thought that a wire short might be occurring inside the laptop. The short occurs as the CPU heatsink melts into the wire and shorts it from inside. Turning off the system allows the heatsink to cool and go back to its original size, thus the reason for why the computer can be turned on again almost immediately. Despite this, as we stated before, Apple still has not given an official explanation for the problem. Apple's Statement |
