Today ASUS might have leaked NVIDIA’s counterattack to ATI’s Boundless Gaming Physics Solution. Boundless gaming, which was announced earlier this year, is ATI’s answer to handling Physics. The technology involves three video cards and three PCI-Express 16x slots. Two of the video cards will work as a normal Crossfire setup, and the third will work for physics computations.

As a result of ATI’s announcements, people began to suspect that NVIDIA would be coming out with a similar solution too. Three months after the announcement of Boundless Gaming, there has still been no official announcement from NVIDIA. However, today ASUS might have leaked NVIDIA’s plans for Physics. In their press release for their P5N32-SLI Premium/WiFI-AP motherboard, ASUS said that their board will have “a third PCI Express x16 slot for Nvidia's upcoming Physics card to deliver superior gaming realism.” The product page on ASUS’ official website also mentions a “GPU Physics card”.
